We ‘ve just took your book at the library because it was new.
My daughter, 7, started to read, and kept telling me about the mistakes in the book. I look for myself and true enough in the mind of a 7 years old, a wedding is between a man and a woman. She was expecting Jamie to have a beautiful wedding dress. The idea of Chloe worring about losing her uncle and friend after he gets married was great,and it would have had the same meaning had Bobby married a cute female.
What a shame that homosexuality has to be now presented to such a young audience. Maybe it is a good thing that you rein yourself when it comes to children’s books.
Very disapointed.

I recently read Mr. Larue’s letter to the patron that wanted to challenge your book. I must say that Mr. Larue did a fine job defending Uncle Bobby’s Wedding. I just want to wish you and your book well. I think it’s a fine story for children and wish the parents out there would open their eyes to see that there is nothing wrong with your book or gay marriage. We’re in the 21st century! When will the bigotry end?
